Don’t fear, little buddy. You did not miss a passel of live Quarantunes lathe LPs while you sleeping in a cloud of misery. Not hardly! Despite the fact that it was the 8th one recorded, the Powers/Rollin Dup session has been released prior to some of the other concerts recorded earlier. Many factors contribute to this, but they are trademarked Feeding Tube secrets, so you’ll just have to accept our word that it is the status quo.

Broadcast live on Zoom from Columbus OH at 7 PM (eastern) Friday June 5, 2020, this extremely limited hand-cut LP serves as a souvenir of a wonderful set of long instrumenstal by Jen Powers on dulcimer and Matthew J. Rolin on 12 string guitar. If you caught the show, you will remember the blend of Matt and Jen’s strings was extraordinary despite the fact there was aural evidence of some microphone problems. Thankfully that’s not an issue here, since the QuaranTunes LPs are created from separate audio files, recorded on site to keep them from having any of the sonic glitches that sometimes mar Zoom concerts. Yes!

The a-side is an untitled improv that floats like the circular breathing patterns of unknown spirits. The flip side is an extended duo take on the opening track from Matt’s eponymous debut LP (FTR 502). Gorgeous gorgeous stuff. Hope you were there!
