Kommissar Hjuler und Frau - Jacob und Wilhelm Grimm ()

Edition of 200 This one is only for the seriously disturbed and I don’t think any amount of hype will make you want this thing unless you know exactly what it is. That being said, i will attempt a description for those who haven’t come across the world of Kommissar Hjuler (44 – an actual German police officer) and Mama Baer (30 – his wife, collaborator and mother of their two children Faust Adolf and Cy). The couple have created a body of visual, audio and performance work that has drawn the attention of many in the international art establishment and left others scratching their heads. With it’s hearty mix of sound poetry, musique concrète, absurdist performance and pornography, the… Read more »

Blue Sabbath Black Fiji

Blue Sabbath Black Fiji - Mistake of a Small Bird ()

LP Edition of 500 This multi-national European duo, who currently hail from Scotland, have been producing a steady stream of ultra-limited releases (on Abandon Ship, Blackest Rainbow, Deathbomb Arc, Digitalis, ad infinitum) and a crazed series of incendiary live performances on both sides of the Atlantic. BSBF may be a swanky looking couple, but their music is about as destroyed as a bombed out building. The two guitars and two mics are constantly threatening to overpower and split open the discotheque beats of the drum machines and electronics. You could dance to this music but you might get a bloody nose. This is their second LP and, by far, their most fully realized album, showcasing them in peak form. Mastered… Read more »

Charlie McAlister - Country Creme / Victorian Fog

Charlie McAlister - Country Creme / Victorian Fog ()

Charlie McAlister “Country Creme / Victorian Fog” LP Edition of 500 OUT OF PRINT!  A reissue comprised of material from some of Charlie’s fabulous late 90’s releases: Turn of the Photograph and Les Motifs Sont Fous. For those of you not familiar with the world of C. McAlister, it is a lo-fi country music landscape populated by awakened Bog Men, slave uprisings, shag dancing, fried sandwiches and booze. He has been recording for over two decades, spreading his twisted gospel to lands near and far. This is potentially the most “deluxe” release of his career. The gritty quality of the cassettes is lovingly preserved on the vinyl and his oil paintings look great on the full color jacket and printed… Read more »

MARS - LIVE AT IRVING PLAZA - NO WAVE - OUT OF PRINT

MARS - Live At Irving Plaza ()

Edition of 500 Includes Digital Download and Insert OUT OF PRINT! Itunes!        The second volume of live Mars recordings from Feeding Tube. This one was recorded at the band’s penultimate show, August 4 1978, with spectral help from Rudolph Grey on the side-long take of “NN End”. The quartet is at the full height of their power here, manipulating the language of tongue explosions both instrumentally and vocally.       Recorded by Brian Eno, the sound is an advance from the galacto-fidelity of the Artists Space LP, and the performance is a staggering example of Mars in their final phase. This is a stunning example of the No Wave impulse in its most experimental and personal guise.       The package… Read more »

MARS - LIVE AT ARTISTS SPACE - NO WAVE - OUT OF PRINT

MARS - Live At Artists Space ()

Mars “Live At Artists Space” LP Edition of 500 OUT OF PRINT!   ITUNES! In May of 1978 there was a five night music festival at Artists Space on Hudson Street in Tribeca. Although almost no one cared at the time, the event has since entered the halls of legend, as one of the signal events in the history of the No Wave era – one that managed to include both the Lower East Side bands and those fronted by their Western contemporaries. On the final night of the festival the two bands playing were Mars and Teenage Jesus and the Jerks. What we are presenting to you today are both sets by Mars – the most mysterious, and bizarrely-styled… Read more »

Happy Jawbone Family Band - Hotel Double Tragedy

Happy Jawbone Family Band - Hotel Double Tragedy ()

OUT OF PRINT! The Hotel Double Tragedy is constantly burning. You will be too with these new hits from the family! Simply plug all the instruments and vocals into one ancient jangle. That’s right! “You deserve to be the hugest group in the world! You deserve magical pop weirdness in about 10 seconds flat.” This could easily have been advertised in this way. Or even as a reissue of the newly discovered missing link between ball lightning and the Vaselines, but we have decided to be honest with you. Happy Jawbone is a collection of depressing people leading boring lives and looking good while they do it. Sounds like our favorite Feeding Tube release thus far! Also available on LP…. Read more »

Sleep-Bottoms - Jamaica

Sleep Bottoms - Jamaica ()

Here is what Spencer Grady had to say in Record Collector magazine. We are still trying to figure out what he meant…”Wow, full on mento decapitation funneled into a hypnagogic stadium epic courtesy of David Crosby. Meanwhile, broken by a nasty bout of Antillies fever, Columbus’ crew get homesick and drop some Royal Trux into the sun-soaked frazzle, as Feeding Tube’s Ted Lee and associates introduce Sun Araw to Arawakan. Think Bryan Brown in Bermudas drunkenly mixing metaphors on the beach as the eternal slackness gently cradels the crux of the Carribbean”.

Dashpi 7"

Dashpi - Don’t Give Up the Ship ()

Dashpi “Don’t Give Up The Ship” 7″ / Fold Out Poster Edition of 500 “Yah, yah, yah, yah. Don’t give up the ship”. These are some seriously weird bedroom reggae jams, made on a dare nearly a decade ago. Pitch-shifted vocals, primitive music and surreal lyrics regarding “the aqua hole” and “the flaming room”. The artist, who prefers to remain anonymous, has made a number of amazing archival recordings since this one was laid to tape in the early part of the century, but none of them are as focused as this one here. Beautiful silk screened art on thick paper, folded in four, full color labels and one of the thickest 7″s you’ve ever held await you.
